This micro hydro vault generator was installed within a small remote pressure reducing valve vault within the greater Seattle area. This small hydroelectric-turbine generation system is meant for local site power needs at existing water pressure reducing stations. The small hydroelectric turbine operates on low flow bypass around the main PRV valve to provide vault power for miscellaneous electrical needs such as: water quality monitoring, telemetry, and vault sump pumps. The project included a pre-packaged power system with battery backup for uninterrupted power supply.
