The Cox Metering Station hydro electric generation facility consists of dual 55kW hydro turbines installed within pre-fabricated steel buildings. The two hydro turbines were installed in parallel with a pressure reducing valve to capture energy that would otherwise be lost. SOAR was responsible for overseeing all electrical, mechanical and structural aspects to the project. SOAR was also in charge of FERC small conduit exemption permitting for this site. The estimated annual power generation at this facility is 220,000kWh.
