SOAR was contracted to replace worn and damaged parts from a multi-stage vertical hydro turbine. The project included using the latest metrology equipment that can accurately measure a part to within 0.002″ or better. Three dimensional CAD models and manufacturing prints of these parts were then created at SOAR for manufacturing to ensure original turbine clearances would be restored. The replacement parts were then manufactured utilizing SOAR’s network of experienced suppliers, inspected, and shipped to our customer ready for assembly.
