The Big Creek Hydroelectric plant is a 5MW run of the river station. SOAR was contracted to rehabilitate the turbine-generator controls to bring the Big Creek hydro electric plant up to date with current standards. SOAR provided restart support, on-site testing and obtained approval from the local power utility staff. Work included review of synchronization, the turbine-generator circuit breaker and protective relays, performed transformer testing, provided upgrades for protective relays and obtained certification by the power utility (Pacific Gas and Electric).
